About Paolo

I didn’t learn about dog training from a book or a school. I learned by growing up among 24 German Shepherds, watching them interact with each other and the people who cared for them.

I grew up in a villa in Rome, Italy, where my father ran a dog training center and bred German Shepherds for both beauty and the qualities of an award-winning working dog. My family ran the center for 27 years, and through contact and play, I learned the language of dogs.

My dad always told me, “Dogs learn through observation… You do the same…”

And I did!

Communication Is Key

My goal is to continue my father’s legacy of Positive Dog Training.

Positive Dog Training means communicating with dogs in a positive way, learning their language, and growing together.

When you understand that a dog speaks through body language, eye contact, and energy, training becomes much faster and easier for both the dog and the owner.

Me with my pack: Sandy (Pitbull/American Staffordshire mix), Ruxxter (Cocker Spaniel), Sissi (Dachsund/ Yorkshire Terrier mix), and Nerone (Anatolian Shepherd mix).

Working together, my pack and I rehabilitate dogs, saving them from shelters by creating a bond through:

RESPECT – Achieved through rules, boundaries and limitations
TRUST – Gained by supporting & understanding
AFFECTION – Given as a reward
